1) go Wheel / Rod either one, definitely not plummet. 
2) for leveling - just get a mount with speedy and gold carp, learn AOE skill then use hit and run strategy. 
3) save the Jades for SamStone

Once I hit Pachun, I understand how crucial AOE is in the run up, just hit 120 earlier.
